• A chance to study and practice with Nizlopi, a world class, influential songwriting team, who have topped the charts from their own record label and had songs of theirs covered by Ed Sheeran, Hugh Jackman and others.

• To be hosted by experienced educators who will create a safe non judgmental space and make sure we are working by invitation only: We won’t pressure anyone.

• A concert from Nizlopi on the Friday night.

• Get inspiration, approaches, knowledge and tools to take away with you in to your creative life.

• Be hosted in a beautiful restful  place with stunning gardens and amazing food.

• Have the chance to make friends with other folk who are interested in song and writing.

• An opportunity to learn in a safe space with other people who love music and creating.

• If you commit to the process you will write a song!

• Lessons and time to play with the foundations of music, composition and lyric writing.

• New ways of writing practicing, composing and listening.

• Anyone who loves music, song, and words, and wants to spend a weekend being nurtured and nourished in that field.

• People who love Nizlopi’s music and want to learn and hang with them.

• Don’t worry if you’ve never written a song before, the key thing is the enthusiasm to create learn and try alone and together.

• And if your a pro with huge amounts of experience, you are welcome too; you could share your experience with us, and, there is allways more to learn :)

• People who want to make meaningful honest beautiful fun music and find their voice.

Who Are Nizlopi?

Nizlopi are Luke Concannon and John Parker a song writing duo who The Guardian call ‘The Real Deal’, the BBC ‘Political intense angular and Beautiful’ and of whom Ed Sheeran Says: ‘I learnt everything from them…you’ll hear it I’m very very influenced’. A duo who stuck to their own independent label in order to carry through their vision, even when offered major record deals, and who still had a number one record. A band who’s live shows are highly regarded for their passion honesty, and creativity. Luke is now growing a life and musical career in Boston USA with his Fiancee, and John is very active on the UK folk and singer song writer scene bringing his gifted musicality in to many new settings. This is the first Nizlopi event in two years.
