BIOGRAPHY

Nizlopi is Luke Concannon and John Parker, two friends who’ve been writing and playing music together since their early teens.  Luke handles the heartfelt lyrics, the endlessly soulful vocals, and his beloved guitar, while JP sets jaws-dropping with his masterful double-bass playing, his breathtaking human beat-boxing, and a little extra guitar playing of his own for good measure.  Together these boys have created a genre defying sound all of their own that’s earned them plenty of love around the UK, and now America and Europe!

At the end of 2005 they achieved chart success with their huge number one hit JCB Song, and were introduced to the mad worlds of Top Of The Pops, and Richard and Judy, amongst numerous other surreal places in TV land.  But their chart victory didn’t happen overnight.  Since the release of their debut album ‘Half These Songs Are About You’, Nizlopi have earned a reputation as one of the hardest working bands in the country, playing a never-ending run of live shows in venues ranging in style from fans’ living rooms, to sold out appearances at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire, to festivals as prestigious as Glastonbury, Bestival, and The Big Green Gathering.

Nizlopi’s aim is always to break down the barriers between performers and audiences.  They enjoy nothing more than heading down into the crowd to play acoustically, and give their shows that extra feeling of intimacy that’s unforgettable for anyone who gets to take part.  Nizlopi gigs are energetic, personal, anthemic, spiritual, and overwhelmingly positive affairs and they’re the best chance to see the boys in their element.

September 2006 has seen the release of Nizlopi’s brand new mini-album ‘ExtraOrdinary”, along with 3 weeks of bringing their unique live sound to thousands around the UK on their 12 date UK tour, and November will see Luke and John play gigs in Germany, France, Portugal, Luxembourg, and Spain.  Early 2007 will see the release of a long-awaited second album..
